Welcome to the 'Official' Fanlisting, Longshot, for the movie "Seabiscuit", starring Tobey Maguire, Chris Cooper and Jeff Bridges. What is a fanlisting you ask? Well, it is a group of "fans" who want to show their support for one particular subject, from movies, music, celebrities and television shows to food, books and authors. Just about anything can have a fanlisting! A wonderful BtVS fan, Janine decided to unite all fans in one place. You don't need a website to join or show your fanship, just be a fan of the movie Seabiscuit and you are in! Anyone interested in becoming affiliates, please email me. Please look around and then join!

::Why this fanlisting?::
When I was six, I got my first horse and have owned, evented and shown them for the better part of my life. They are my first love, confidante, and best friends. In 1997, I saw a little known movie called "Ice Storm" and immediately became a Tobey Maguire fan, following his work through the years since, enjoying "Pleasantville", "Cider House Rules", "Wonderboys", "Ride with the Devil" and "Spiderman" equally, but for different reasons. His body of work is one the most impressive in Hollywood, with several of his movies being nominated for Academy Awards. Whether he is playing an orphan, nerdy superhero or misplaced teen, Tobey has excelled in all his roles, but perhaps none as much as he did with the character Red Pollard in "Seabiscuit". After reading the book last November, I was thrilled to find out that a movie was in the works and even more so when I heard that Tobey was a major part of it. For months, I waited for this movie to open and I saw it opening night. I can honestly say that I can't recall the last time a movie touched me like this one. I laughed, cheered, cringed and cried throughout the entire two hours and left the theater with an incredible emotional high. To have Tobey and horses, two things I adore, in such a fansastic movie was joyous. I had high expectations for this movie and not only did it not disappoint, it surpassed them. I was thrilled to get approved for the fanlisting, so I can share my joy of this movie with all you.
